As I write

Ibu is near the end of her life. Thinking of life without Ibu is painful.

It hurt so much to watch this strong, smart and feitsy woman otherwise known as Ibu deteriorates. While we are exhausted physically and emotionally, we know her life is in Allah’s hands and her death will be in His timing.

We have had ample time to tell her how much we loved her and we would be okay. We made promises to her about watching out for Ayah and Atiqa. We’re so gonna miss her so much. She’s the heart of our family. We feel so honored to be by her side, through every step of the way. This experience has humbled us to the core.

Ibu is a great mother and a great lady who will be dearly missed by many. Ibu taught us all that love and family are the most important things and we should cherish them because we may not always have the chance to say goodbye. We are blessed to have her in our lives. Let us pray that we are among those who work to have an easy trip and  have as the end to their journey, the final abode of Paradise. Insya’allah.

No one knows where, how and when he or she will die. “Verily, the knowledge of the hour is with Allah (alone). It is He who sends down rain, and He who knows what is in the wombs, nor does anyone know what it is that he will earn on the morrow. Nor does anyone know in what land he is to die. Verily, with Allah is full knowledge and He is acquainted (with all things.)” (31:34)

The time will come, surely for all of us. For death is the only certainty in life.
“Every soul shall have a taste of death: In the end to Us shall you be brought back.” (29:57)
